I realize I'm a bit late because My Time to Craft already has this week's NEW challenge posted, but I wanted to share the 2 cards I made for last week's challenge - Under the Weather.
I found this new stamp in Michaels' sale bin last week ~ a delightful pair of polka dotted rubber boots --
after heat embossing this one pair, the polka dots took on a life of their own and looked SO different from the others!
I stamped 4 be-twinchie squares, cut out the heat embossed pair and used a BIC Mark-It marker to colour in the top and bottom of the boots and set it atop dimensionls over 1 a matching set underneath.
For this card, I recycled or upcycled an old card top of a sweet little girl under an umbrella --
Under the Weather cards can be used either for someone who isn't feeling well OR for someone needing encouragement in trying circumstances ... leaving these *sentiment free* means that I can use them for either occasion, as the need arises ... I love this aspect of making my own cards -- you always have something on hand that fits :o)
