I came across the Pals Paper Arts "KISS" (Keep it Simple, Sweetie) challenge this morning and here's my entry:
The colours of Bazzill card stock were decided by the *watercolour wash* background that I had done on Arches 140 lb watercolour paper with a mister and my trusty paint and brush :o)
The border was cut using my Martha Stewart doily punch and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Your wash background is absolutely lovely! Pretty KISS card - thanks for playing @PPA!
It really is so often true that 'less is more'!
Lovely card Dallas! Jo x
Hello Dallas! Thx for visiting my blog! I love the simplicity of your card and how you've used the watercolour to bring it to life! I haven't tried watercolour yet, even though I bought some watercolour pencils! Gonna pluck up the courage and try it out!
Mary J,
You'll have fun trying your hand at watercolour pencils ~ I haven't yet mastered using them and my blender pen :o(
I do enjoy painting watercolour washes that I can use for backgrounds with my inexpensive set of watercolour paints even though I tend to forget to *stop* adding paint and let what's there do its thing!
Have a great weekend!
Hi Dallas! Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm pretty "new" to cardmaking as well, as I just got into making them last summer... so I'm still learning ;)
I did want to tell you that I love your watercolored card! I've never seen that technique before, but the results are fantastic!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Allison
Thanks Allison!
Your cards are beautiful so I'd never know that you just started last summer :o)
I think you'll enjoy the watercolour technique as every one is UNIQUE :o)
