I had loads of fun as well as some very frustrating moments using watercolour paints and a mister to create some *wash scenes* on Arches 140 lb watercolour paper. I wanted to try it for the 1st time and have some completed ones on hand for to use as backgrounds on some cards.
A couple of Hampton Art floral rubber stamps that I purchased on etsy also arrived and I used them for this card . . . eventually deciding against stamping a sentiment on the front . . . allowing the card to be used for almost any occasion!
Pearl-adorned butterflies cut with my Martha Stewart punch give the only dimension to an otherwise one layer card and make it easy for me to easily mail it anywhere :o)

I'm off to browse your 2 blogs now since I've already enjoyed your flickr photos!!
I just love the watercolor background, as well as the butterflies and the stamped image.
Thanks Susan!
I love doing the watercolour backgrounds but need to keep reminding myself that less paint sometimes produces more of what I want :o)
So sweet. Great job!
