Stamping 411 SS - Challenge 140

I love the layout for this week's Stamping 411 SATURDAY SKETCH Challenge but decided to use my dual layered rose as the 2nd layer rather than use designer paper or card stock :o)

I've used white Bazzill card stock for the base.  I've used 120 lb watercolour paper for the bottom rose and 140 lb. Arches watercolour paper for the top rose, both of which I've cut out as carefully as my wobbly hands would allow :o)

Once the rose was stamped on the paper with Colour Box white chalk ink then embossed with clear embossing powder, I watercoloured the petals and leaves with my aqua-painter and placed the darker rose on pop dots to give dimension ~ and best of all, had lots of fun doing it :o)

The roses have been coloured and cut out beautifully and they work so well with that gorgeous textured cardstock. I agree with you - fun is definitely NOT optional!
